payroll deployments are planned for 2012/13 to include Indonesia, Singapore & Algeria that will take the total headcount payrolled to in excess of 20,000. Increasingly the team is being tasked with providing full payroll support from Dubai which eliminates any field payroll personnel completely and puts the responsibility for liaison with regulatory authorities for local filings and dealing with employee queries with the payroll team in Dubai. The payroll team is part of the overall Dubai Business Support Centre and works closely with both other teams within the Centre, mainly the accounting team, but also with the local HR & accounting organisations.
A subset of the payroll team has responsibility for the management of HR data in SAP for PRL (3rd country national expat employment company), UAE & Iraq and in that regard works with the in-country HR organisation to ensure timely & accurate updating of HR records for any personnel change. The payroll manager has responsibility for managing this team.
Key attributes of the job:-
•Manager to lead the payroll team of 20 & growing within Dubai BSC
•Responsible for all payrolls administered on SAP within EH.
•Ability to manage people and work to tight time deadlines.
•Ability to communicate clearly & succinctly in dealing with both employees and regulatory authorities
•SAP experience, preferably in payroll, but certainly in accounting is a requirement
•Analytical and process focused.
•Self-motivated with ability to motivate & empower others.
Plans, organizes, and leads accounting staff in the preparation of financial statements and performance of accounting systems and processes. Coordinates development of accounting policies and procedures. Prepares and administers department budget and may assist in preparing and/or administering budgets and business plans for operating departments. Serves as an advisor to management on key financial issues and financial performance. Responsible for managing the recruitment, training, and development of accounting staff for advanced assignments.
