Position requires an individual to maintain an integrated surveillance system deployed in Qatar protecting the border and select Ministry of Defense sites. This would require living in close proximity to the site. The integrated system contains a combination of ground surveillance radars, thermal imaging cameras, line sensors, command and control software, platforms and any necessary interface equipment, including a Cummins diesel generator. The systems are deployed in multiple locations within the site.
1. Managing the complete mechanical maintenance of the integrated system.
2. First level on-site technical support
3. Develops improvement in standard repair and maintenance procedures as an ongoing process.
4. Repair and/or return of LRU’s diagnosed as faulty in theatre
5. Properly document issues encountered in the field
Qualifications:
• Qualification in technical mechanical engineering discipline
• 5+ years similar work experience minimum
• Knowledge of low voltage power systems
• Knowledge of hydraulics and motor generator operation and maintenance.
• Basic metal-working experience (hand tools, drilling, etc.)
